TrendsFast vs Treg: a trends engine or a tool catalog for your agent

A dated, factual comparison. Treg gives an agent one key to thousands of paid tools; TrendsFast reads a market and says what the evidence supports. Which fits which job, with published prices.

ANSWER FIRST

The short answer

They do different jobs. Treg is a tool catalog: one key gives an agent thousands of paid tools, billed per call, and each provider’s answer comes back as it is. TrendsFast is a trends engine: it reads a market, ranks the evidence for your brand and says what that evidence supports. Use Treg when your agent needs many kinds of data or has to act. Use TrendsFast when it needs to know what is worth doing.

The facts, checked on 7 November 2026

Treg: 4,100+ endpoints across 126 providers: SEO and SERP data, backlinks, social profiles and trends, people and company enrichment, ads, web scraping, and image, video and voice generation. Yes. Any catalog tool is one HTTP call by its id with one token, and the provider's answer comes back verbatim. MCP: Yes, at treg.to/mcp/ with a bearer header or OAuth: catalog search, a generic call tool, balance and more. Pricing: A prepaid balance billed per call, fractions of a cent for most lookups, with no subscription and a stated 0% additional fee. Calls on your own provider keys are not billed. Free: $1.00 of free credit once per new verified account.

TrendsFast: X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Google Search, Hacker News, in one retained index. Five products read it for a brand, each one call priced per call: Customers (10 credits), Trending (25 credits), Competitors (30 credits), Formats (20 credits), Search (35 credits). Rereading a saved result is free. $10 once for 500 credits; plans from $29 a month for 2,000 credits. Free: 100 credits once per verified account, then 50 every month, no card. REST and an authenticated MCP server share one balance.

Treg bills in dollars per call and TrendsFast in credits per call, so a price per call does not compare directly: one TrendsFast call does the collecting and ranking that would otherwise be several calls and your agent’s own work. Check https://treg.to/ before deciding.

The same question, asked of both

Ask “what should I post this week for indie SaaS founders?”. With Treg your agent searches the catalog, picks tools for subreddit posts, TikTok trends, X posts and Google Trends, and calls each one. It then has several raw answers in several shapes, and removing duplicates, judging relevance and deciding what is worth posting are its own work. That is full control, and it uses your agent’s tokens and judgement.

With TrendsFast one Customers or Trending call returns items already ranked against your brand as core, adjacent or global, each with its source link, observation time and measured signal, plus a brief of what the evidence supports and the channels the read could not see. For a subreddit, a free brief adds its rules on promotion and AI-written posts and the post format that wins there.

Where Treg is stronger, and where we are

Treg is better at breadth and at acting. It lists 4,100+ endpoints across 126 providers, and it covers jobs TrendsFast does not sell:

  • Publishing to X, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube over OAuth, which TrendsFast does not do.
  • Enrichment, backlinks, ads and media generation, none of which TrendsFast sells.
  • Measured success rate, speed and price for competing providers of the same job.

TrendsFast is better when the output has to be a judgement rather than a response. It covers 8 channels and keeps them in one index with history, so a topic can be called rising from comparable readings and not from one snapshot. A channel it could not observe is reported as unavailable rather than as an empty list, and it says plainly when the evidence does not support a claim. A product call collects the brand’s own sources when it is made, such as its subreddits, searches and competitor profiles, within a provider budget its price covers, and reuses a source read in the last few hours. The shared index also keeps what earlier calls and scheduled collection gathered, so every item carries the time it was observed.

TrendsFast is read-only: it never posts or messages anyone. We have not benchmarked the two on speed or data quality, and this page does not claim either is faster or more accurate.

When to choose the other one

Choose Treg if your agent needs enrichment, backlinks, ads, media generation or publishing, or if you are building your own analysis on raw provider data. Choose TrendsFast if the job is knowing what your market is saying and what to test next, with sources your agent can show. Nothing stops you from running both: one key for the many jobs, and the engine for the question of what is worth doing.
