# Best TikTok Slideshow Makers in 2026: 8 Tools Compared, and What Each One Actually Posts

The best TikTok slideshow maker depends on what you need it to post. TikTok's own Photo Mode is free. Fastlane, Reels Farm and PostNitro write the slides and post them. SlideStorm and MakeViral make slides you publish yourself. CapCut makes a video of slides, and Canva suits designing by hand.

A TikTok slideshow maker turns a few images and lines of text into a post people swipe through. The tools sold under that name do not all make the same thing: some produce a real photo post, some a video of slides, and only some can post for you. Most "best of" lists are written by a tool in the list, and few say which is which.

We read each vendor's own pages and put those differences side by side. TrendsFast is our product and it is not a slideshow maker, so it is not in the table. It comes up once, near the end, for the question these tools do not answer: what to make.

## TL;DR

- **Free, with no extra tool:** TikTok Photo Mode.
- **From a website URL to posts on a schedule:** Fastlane.
- **Scheduled automations for TikTok accounts:** Reels Farm.
- **Branded carousels across several networks:** PostNitro.
- **Batches of slides from a prompt or from code:** SlideStorm.
- **One paid try with no subscription:** MakeViral.
- **Designing every slide by hand:** Canva.
- **A video of slides, with transitions:** CapCut.

## TikTok slideshow makers compared

Every fact below comes from the vendor's own pages on 7 November 2026. Prices change, so check them before you buy. We did not buy the paid plans or test the output of any tool, so this table says what each tool does, not how good its slides are.

| Tool | Best for | Makes | Gets it on TikTok | Agent access | Price | Free | Watch out |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [TikTok Photo Mode](https://www.tiktok.com/) | A swipeable post with no extra tool | A photo post of up to 35 photos | You post it in the app | TikTok's developer docs could not be read on this date | Free | The app is free | Nothing writes or designs the slides for you, and you build each post yourself. |
| [Fastlane](https://www.usefastlane.ai/) | Marketing a product from its website URL | A photo post, assembled in TikTok's photo format | It publishes natively on a schedule | REST API and MCP server | $29 a month (Starter, 500 credits) | Its pages differ: a free plan on the tool page, a 7-day trial with 50 credits on the homepage | Starter is one campaign, one social account and one seat, and the pages we read do not state what a slideshow costs in credits. |
| [Reels Farm](https://reelsfarm.com/) | Scheduled slideshow automations for TikTok accounts | Image slideshows, or slideshow videos as a separate output | It sends them to TikTok on a schedule; the pages we read do not say direct or draft | MCP server, Agent SDK and CLI, on every plan | $19 a month (Starter, 200 credits) | A 5-day trial; no free plan stated | Starter has one automation and no integrations, and revisions use additional credits. |
| [PostNitro](https://postnitro.ai/) | Branded carousels for TikTok and other networks | A photo post at 1080 × 1920, with an optional MP4 export | It publishes natively from Creator+; Free and Starter only export | REST API, MCP server and CLI, on API credits | $15 a month (Starter, no publishing); $30 a month to publish, shown at $24.99 until 30 November | A free plan with 5 slides per carousel; no card | The cheapest plan cannot publish, and its pricing page disagrees with itself on whether free exports carry a watermark. |
| [SlideStorm](https://www.slidestorm.ai/) | Generating slideshows in batches, including from code | A photo post: static image slideshows | It uploads to your TikTok inbox, and you publish by hand | REST API in beta with an OpenAPI spec, and an MCP quickstart | $19 a month (Starter, 300 credits) | You can try the editor; AI slideshows need a credit pack or a plan | API posting is inbox upload only, so every post still needs a manual publish. |
| [MakeViral](https://www.makeviral.ai/) | Quick slides you download and post by hand | 5 to 10 PNG images at 1080 × 1920 | It does not post; you upload the PNGs in the app | MCP server and REST API | $49.99 a month (Starter, 700 credits), or a one-time $9.99 pack | None: new accounts start with 0 credits | The text is burned into the PNG, there is no layout editor, and your own photos cannot be backgrounds. |
| [Canva](https://www.canva.com/) | Designing branded slides by hand, then posting yourself | Designs you export as images or video | The planner page we read names Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, not TikTok | An AI connector on the Canva MCP Server | US$144 a year for one person (Pro) | A free plan, with limited AI; Pro has a free trial | The pages we read do not describe a TikTok photo post export, so plan to upload the images yourself. |
| [CapCut](https://www.capcut.com/) | A polished video of slides, with transitions and sound | A video, not a swipeable photo post | It sends the exported video to TikTok from the app | A ChatGPT plugin built on an MCP connection | USD 19.99 a month (Pro), or USD 179.99 a year | A free plan; a 7-day Pro trial with no card, availability varies by region | The result is a video, so viewers cannot swipe through it at their own pace. |

## Photo post or video of slides?

This is the difference that most lists skip. TikTok describes Photo Mode as carousel posts of still images, which viewers swipe through at their own pace. A video of slides plays by itself, like any other video.

The two suit different jobs. On a photo post the reader sets the pace, so it can carry a long line of text on each slide. A video of slides carries motion and timing, and it can be cut to a sound. If you do not know which you want, look at the slideshows that work in your niche and copy the kind, not the tool.

One thing to check before you choose. TikTok's Creator Rewards program [says eligible content shouldn't be created using Photo Mode](https://www.tiktok.com/creator-academy/article/creator-rewards-program), so a photo post is a way to reach people, not a way to earn from views.

## Who actually puts it on TikTok

"Posts to TikTok" means three different things on these sites, and the difference is whether you have to come back.

- **It publishes for you:** Fastlane, and PostNitro from its Creator+ plan. Reels Farm sends slideshows to TikTok on a schedule, though the pages we read do not say whether they arrive live or as drafts.
- **It stops at your inbox:** SlideStorm uploads to your TikTok inbox, and you open the app and publish each one.
- **You post it yourself:** TikTok Photo Mode by design, MakeViral with its PNG files, and Canva with what you export. CapCut sends a finished video to the app.

If an agent runs your posting, this is the column to read first. A tool that stops at the inbox still needs a person every time, which may be exactly what you want.

## A slideshow maker does not tell you what to make

Each tool above makes slides. None of the vendor pages we read shows which formats and hooks are working in your niche this week, with sources and dates, and that decides more than the tool does.

That is the job TrendsFast does, and it is why it is not in the table. It reads your niche and returns evidence: its Formats product shows short videos around your niche with their views, and likes, comments and shares wherever the platform reports them, and the opening line of the top TikTok and YouTube videos from their own transcripts. Pick the format first, then the maker that can produce it.

The check takes five minutes and needs no tool, and [our post on what views turn into installs](/blog/tiktok-slideshow-app-marketing) walks through it. If you run it every week, [keep a log of each test](/guides/self-improving-agent-loop), so the next slideshow starts from what won and not from a guess.

## How we picked

We searched the phrases people use for these tools, then chose eight that really make TikTok slideshows and publish their prices, across three kinds: TikTok's own feature, AI generators built for it, and general editors. We read each vendor's pricing, product and developer pages on 7 November 2026 and quote only what they state. Where a vendor's own pages disagree, the table says so. We did not include tools we could not read on their own site.

## FAQ

### What is the best TikTok slideshow maker?

It depends on who posts. TikTok Photo Mode is free and you post it yourself. Fastlane and PostNitro write the slides and publish them. Reels Farm schedules them. We did not test output quality, so this is about what each tool does, not how good its slides are.

### Is there a free TikTok slideshow maker?

Yes. TikTok's own Photo Mode is free inside the app. PostNitro, Canva and CapCut have free plans with limits. Reels Farm has a 5-day trial, and MakeViral has no free tier: new accounts start with 0 credits.

### How many photos can a TikTok slideshow have?

TikTok's support page says you can add up to 35 photos to a photo post. Third-party tools set their own limits: PostNitro allows 5 slides on Free and 15 on Creator+, and MakeViral makes 5 to 10.

### Can AI make a TikTok slideshow for me?

Yes. Fastlane, Reels Farm, PostNitro, SlideStorm and MakeViral each write the text and supply the images, from a prompt or a URL. A person should still read every slide before it goes out, because the tool does not know whether a claim is true.

### What is the difference between a TikTok slideshow and a video of slides?

A photo post is a stack of still images that a viewer swipes through at their own pace. A video of slides plays by itself like any other video. TikTok treats them as different kinds of post, and some tools make only one of them.
